Free Science Journal: Forces and Motion

Free Printable Science Journal: Forces and Motion

Here with another great free science journal for your little learners! Have you seen my other science journals? There are more on this page!

Teaching kids about force and motion might seem like a simple concept - you push a swing, that's a push! You pull a wagon and it comes closer to you. But for young learners these concepts can sometimes seem confusing, especially when you begin to compare a slide to a roll, or begin talking about friction.

This unit explains everything in kid-friendly language so that they can better understand the simple forces around them. It also includes some worksheets and hands-on activities they can use to help them understand the concepts in the real world.

The concepts in this journal follow the concepts in the Progression of Learning in the Quebec Education Program, but they can be used by anyone! They're simple for 1st-2nd grade, but can be used by anyone of any age who would like to better understand these concepts.

Concepts include:
  • What is a push?
  • What is a pull?
  • What is force?
  • What is a slide?
  • What is a roll?
  • How these forces are different
  • What is gravity?
  • What is friction?
  • How does friction increase or decrease?

The BEST part is that you can download this journal instantly for free using the link below! It's a great addition to a homeschool portfolio (and for older kiddos, there is NO grade written on it anywhere, so don't worry about that!). It would also make a great addition to a classroom unit on Force and Motion.

Download it for free at the link below...

**I am SO Happy to share this freebie with you! All I ask in return is that when sharing this resource with others, you share the link to THIS blog, not the google link. Thank you**
